I was born 1970 in the very southern of Sweden. In 1999 I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis). During this time my blog started as a personal project to pass time (initially as newly diagnosed with MS I was blind one eye and had paralysis in my legs, so I couldn’t work). And since this I’ve been blogging. My blog is in all Swedish and has no special topic than “everyday life”.
Professionally I work as healthcare administrator with specialty “clinical coding”, and as system administrator. I haven’t changed profession for over 25 years.
When I started my blog in 1999, I got the nickname “Jontas”. This Jontas-person I’ve been until 2016, when my nickname was changed to “Nile” (short for Nilekil, my IG-name). I haven’t come up with these nicknames. Others online suddenly used the names, and it stuck with me.
In July 2015 I stopped shaving. I wanted for the first time let my beard grow. “One month, then I’ll shave if off”, I said to myself. Three years later I haven’t shaved any of it off. I’m a bearded man, and intend to be a bearded man. In the fall of 2016 I joined Bearded Villains hopefuls, and three months later I was a Bearded Villain (Villain) and member of Bearded Villains Swedish Chapter. Full membership Bearded Villains I got in December 2017.
My interests besides my beard? Well, for the moment I’m very much into streaming TV-series.
